Akordeonista i pedagog. W 1991 roku ukończył Państwową Szkołę Muzyczną stopnia licealnego w Przemyślu w klasie akordeonu mgr. Stanisława Kucaba, a w 1996 roku – studia w Akademii Muzycznej w Katowicach w klasie prof. Joachima Pichury. Pracę nauczyciela akordeonu rozpoczął w 1993 roku w PSM I st. w Tychach, a od 1994 roku uczy w Zespole Państwowych Szkół Muzycznych w Przemyślu, gdzie pracuje do dziś.
An accordionist and teacher. In 1991 he graduated from the secondary-level State Music School in Przemyśl in the accordion class of Stanisław Kucab, and in 1996 completed his studies at the Academy of Music in Katowice in the class of Professor Joachim Pichura. He began teaching accordion in 1993 at the first-degree State Music School in Tychy, and since 1994 has taught at the State Music School Complex in Przemyśl, where he works to this day.
W 2004 roku objął funkcję kierownika Sekcji Akordeonu i Organów przy ZPSM w Przemyślu, w latach 2007–2017 był zastępcą dyrektora ds. muzycznych, a od 2017 roku pełni funkcję dyrektora tej szkoły. Jako pedagog odniósł ze swoimi uczniami liczne sukcesy na najważniejszych konkursach krajowych i międzynarodowych – jego wychowankowie byli laureatami m.in. w Klingenthal, Castelfidardo, Wilnie, Puli, Sanoku, Przemyślu, Słupcy, Gorlicach i Mons.
In 2004 he became head of the Accordion and Organ Section at the school complex in Przemyśl; from 2007 to 2017 he was deputy director for musical affairs, and since 2017 he has served as the school’s director. As a teacher he has achieved numerous successes with his students at the most important national and international competitions – his students have been prize-winners in Klingenthal, Castelfidardo, Vilnius, Pula, Sanok, Przemyśl, Słupca, Gorlice and Mons, among others.
Przy organizacji Międzynarodowego Festiwalu Muzyki Akordeonowej pracuje od 1994 roku, a od 2002 roku jest jego dyrektorem. To głównie dzięki jego pracy i zaangażowaniu festiwal wyrósł na jedną z najważniejszych imprez akordeonowych w Polsce i jedną z ważniejszych w Europie. Dzięki jego staraniom w Przemyślu wystąpili najwybitniejsi akordeoniści świata – z Richardem Galliano na czele – a wśród nich m.in. Klaudiusz Baran, Peter Soave, Władimir Zubicki, Marcin Wyrostek, Ludovic Beier, Klaus Paier oraz zespoły Motion Trio, Quadro Nuevo, Button Hackers i Dobrek Bistro.
He has worked on organising the International Accordion Music Festival since 1994, and has been its director since 2002. It is chiefly thanks to his work and commitment that the festival grew into one of the most important accordion events in Poland and one of the more significant in Europe. Through his efforts, the world’s most distinguished accordionists have performed in Przemyśl – led by Richard Galliano – among them Klaudiusz Baran, Peter Soave, Vladimir Zubitsky, Marcin Wyrostek, Ludovic Beier and Klaus Paier, as well as the ensembles Motion Trio, Quadro Nuevo, Button Hackers and Dobrek Bistro.
